We’re truly grateful to have been part of the Woodlands CC opening celebration last Sunday. Thank you to the organizers for inviting us to contribute to the community through special culinary demonstrations and by serving on the jury for the mystery box cooking competition — it was an honour to take part.

The day was an absolute delight: the demonstrations sparked lively, informative Q&As about techniques and recipes, and the mystery box challenged contestants to think creatively under pressure. It was heartwarming to see so many talented cooks showcase their skills and serve thoughtful, delicious dishes with such pride and generosity. The enthusiasm, camaraderie, and community spirit were inspiring.

A big thanks to all the participants, volunteers, and Woodlands CC staff who made the event possible. We truly enjoyed every moment, learned a lot from the conversations, and look forward to more opportunities to cook, teach, judge, and celebrate great food with our neighbours.
